The Exchange
Have you ever felt like you are living life on repeat? As if you are stuck in Groundhog’s Day? We get up, make breakfast, go to work, drive all the places, make dinner, watch TV, go to bed. Get up and do it all over again. We’ve all been there. We’ve all been stuck.

THAT is why Elizabeth Pehrson created The Exchange back in 2015. And no matter how you might have stumbled across this page, WE ARE SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE!

The Exchange is a non-profit that provides a forum for women to come together, CONNECT with one another, and encourage each other to live a life of meaning and purpose.

Almost twelve years ago, Elizabeth felt that God was calling her to “something.” At the time, she was a wife and a mom to eight children, in addition to having two puppies, twelve chickens and a number of volunteer opportunities. She kind of felt like she was doing A LOT already!  But the feeling wouldn’t go away! The problem was that she didn’t know what IT was. So she taped the word IT to her closet wall and began to fervently pray for whatever IT might be.

Almost two years later, she knew what IT was!

The general idea would be that we would gather together to EXPLORE a different topic each month. Then we would use that to ENRICH our minds. And ultimately, ENGAGE it in the next best step our lives.

Elizabeth came up with the name of The Exchange because her initial goal was to have a small group of about 30 women come together and deep dive into different topics, and then EXCHANGE thoughts, ideas, and practical ways to implement growth in that area.

But what do you know? The day of the very first Exchange, due to freezing rain and power outages, schools and many businesses were closed. Uncertain if anyone would show up, she decided to meet anyway. And as expected, her numbers were way off. But not like one might think! We didn’t have close to 30 women…We had 125 WOMEN show up!!!

Since that time, we have outgrown three locations and are currently meeting in the largest conference center in Forsyth County. And although a lot has changed since we first started, our mission to inspire women to live ON PURPOSE and WITH INTENTION, has not waned.

The Exchange is for ALL women. Women who work outside the home. And women who work in the home. Women who are single. And women who are married. Women who are moms. And women who are grandmoms. No matter what season of life you are in, The Exchange is here to help you wake up and LIVE FULLY this one, messy, beautiful life you have been given.

Come. Be Challenged. Connect With Your Neighbors. Enjoy A Girl’s Night Out.
